As people who are in the business of raising money for charitable causes will tell you, non-profit work is hard, political, and fraught with complexity - often very fast-paced and definitely not for the faint of heart. There are many great blogs that help people in the business of raising money for causes they believe in, many of which I subscribe to. There are not many that talk about the behind-the-scenes work that is done every day to keep the lights on, keep the trains running on time, and allow the fundraisers to focus on the business of bringing in the donations.

I hope this blog will help my compatriots in the most noble of callings by sharing experiences of the un-sexy but necessary roles of the unsung heroes behind the scenes - the folks in marketing, production, and operations.
